Transportation Update
Unloading:
Thank you all for making a concerted effort to get to school on time. To better facilitate traffic flow, please do not get out of your car in the traffic lanes  to unload items from your car trunk or back seat. If you need to assist your child, please park on Huntington, past the entrance, or find a spot in the lot to park and unload. Please note that the assigned parking spaces and the handicapped spaces are not unloading spots. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

Parking Lot Accidents:
In the event of a parking lot accident involving another vehicle, it is important to communicate with the other of the other involved vehicle. If the car owner is not present, please come into the front office for help in connecting with the cars owner to resolve the situation. As we tell the students, accidents happen, but it is important to work together to resolve situations when we can. Thank you for your help in keeping our community safe.

Early Learning STEM Event: The Beaver Dam Build
Preschool and Kindergarten students, along with their families, showed off their hydro-engineering skills at the STEM Beaver Dam Build Event held last week. The event space was filled with giant displays documenting, in great detail, the students' learning journey. Each display depicted their creative thinking, problem solving, and hands-on engineering skills.  The audience enjoyed a teacher presentation describing the research, exploration, and science skills associated with the study of dam building and beavers.  Then the group was invited to build their own dam, each of which was tested for water-tight properties. Thanks go to teachers Kris Shoemake, Sayra Rubio, Lee Rankin, and their assistants Cassie Steedman, Lille Che, and Dannalou Machi for their tremendous creativity, hard work, organizational skills, and amazing decorations that made the event special. Be sure to see videos of the event and the photo album in this eCourier issue below.

Come to the Anita Knight Reading Corner Dedication Tomorrow
Our dear friend and former Clairbourn librarian, Anita Knight, will be in attendance to greet alumni, past parents, students, colleagues, and current members of the Clairbourn Community.
The school is honoring Mrs. Knight with a wall plaque to mark the "Anita Knight Reading Corner" area of the library, commemorating her service to the school and the love of reading she instilled in Clairbourn students through the years. Light refreshments will be served.
