All parents are invited to come to the Manor House, Friday September 28th at 8:30 am, for a social gathering with light refreshments. Administrators will be in attendance to chat and answer questions. We hope to see you there!

Important Reminder about the Start of the School Day
As a reminder, the school day starts at 8:00 am. Lower school students are expected to be in their classroom by this time, and middle school students are expected to be in the lunch area. All 1st - 8th grade students then proceed to Morning Assembly, which begins at 8:05. Students who arrive after 8:00 should head directly to the MPB and leave their school bags outside the entrance.
For the next few weeks, students who arrive after 8:10 am will be marked tardy to school, but starting in mid-October, tardies will be marked at 8:05.
Tardies and absences are part of student's transcripts sent to area high schools, and can be taken into consideration as part of the application process, so it is important for students to arrive to school in a timely manner.

Order Before Sept. 28th!
Buy our new "One Big Happy Clairbourn Family" T-Shirts before the cut-off date. Parents, staff members, alums, and friends of the school can order shirts online in our new Clairbourn Spirit Store. Show that you're a proud member of our school family and get your shirts while they last. (Current students and staff have already been issued one free shirt to wear on Clairbourn Shirt Days and to school activities.) Shirts will be available approximately two weeks after the ordering deadline.

We're selling optional uniform accessories, such as headbands, hair-bows, and scarves that can be combined with the required Clairbourn uniform look. We also have handy items to show your school spirit like Clairbourn logo umbrellas, key fobs, drink tumblers, and more. All orders must be placed online, are for pickup only, and will be available on the next business day after ordering. The pickup location for orders is the Cougar Corner snack shop located on campus across from the Multi-Purpose Building.
CFA Information
Entrepreneurial Fair Event
Clairbourn's 5th Annual Entrepreneurial Fair is on Friday, Oct. 19th. Students may sell any items they create, make, cook, build, or grow: arts & crafts, inventions, baked goods, plants, etc. (Please, no commercial video game booths unless the games were created by you!) Learn more about it here.
"Donut Day" Treat to Sign-Up
Sign up for the Entrepreneurial Fair before the morning bell on Friday, 9/21 or Friday, 9/28 and get a FREE donut! Bring your $20 booth fee (cash or check) and stop by the Entrepreneurs table outside of the reception office. Already signed up to participate in the fair? No problem! Swing by to sign up for an Entrepreneurs Workshop and get your FREE Donut!
All participants in this years Entrepreneurial Fair are strongly encouraged to attend one of three Entrepreneurial Workshops. As a benefit for attending, you will receive a premium booth location.
Meeting Dates: Workshops will take place in the Orndorff Conference Room in the Admin building on Sunday, September 30th at 2 pm and 4 pm as well as Monday, October 1st at 3pm.
How to Participate in the Fair
- Submit your Start-Up Deck and booth fee by September 26th. The power point Start-Up Deck is a requirement and is available for download at the Clairbourn Store.
- Track product costs and determine retail price using an Activity Based Cost Tracker.
- Follow this link to rent your booth to sell your items! You can also pay via cash or check. Make checks out to Clairbourn Family Association. Deliver all check and cash payments to the Entrepreneurial Fair box in the Admin. Building.
- September 30th we will have an Entrepreneurs Workshop to learn best selling practices, selling and display tips, and pick up promotional tools. Choose from two sessions: 2 to 3 pm and 4 to 5 pm. Location to be determined.

Scrip Orders are Due this Friday
Order forms are due Friday, September 21st.
CFA supports the school by selling scrip cards to be used at many food and retail business.

Coming Soon - Clairbourn's Book Fair

Parent Volunteers Needed at Cougar Corner Store
Parents, volunteer to work at Cougar Corner for some 1st-quarter shifts. Choose to work as little as one day a week from 2:45 pm to 3:30 pm from 09/14/2018 - 11/2/2018. All volunteers will be trained, get free day care for their children during their shift, and receive free beverages and snacks. Please follow this link to sign up for your shift. Parent Help Needed for Special Lunch Days
A friendly reminder to all 4th grade parents - October is your month to cover back parking lot duty for special lunch days! As part of the CFA, we are looking for your assistance to help serve lunch to our kids. The CFA brings in special lunch vendors on the first two Tuesday's and every Thursday as a way to raise funds for Clairbourn. It also give you a nice break from packing lunches! Each grade is assigned a month during the school year.
Special Lunch is an important part of the CFA's fundraising. Special Lunch happens every Thursday and on the 1st and 2nd Tuesdays of each month. We kindly ask that you place your order three days prior to the lunch date to ensure your child will receive their special lunch.

Cougar Corner Account
Parents, please provide funds for your child's Cougar Corner account. Cougar Corner is the snack shop that opens right after school where students can buy drinks or food. Visit the Clairbourn Online Store to fund your child's Cougar Corner account.
Cougar Corner Opening
Thank you to the amazing Cougar Corner Committee and all the volunteers for a successful Cougar Corner Grand Opening last week! Hardworking parent volunteers handed out yummy popsicles, our beloved Cougar mascot, and joyful students helped make this Grand Opening a grand success! See pictures at the bottom of this page.
Important Notice
Our New Photo Sharing Website, Vidigami, is Live!
Vidigami is Clairbourn's new password-protected photo sharing site for school photos and videos. This will replace our postings to Flickr.com. We've already populated the site with photos for each grade, we have Pali trip photos in there, and we have folders set up to collect Huntingtower Exchange Student photos - plus much, more! Once you have activated and logged into Vidigami, you will be able to upload media to the school groups you are a part of, and share moments with others registered with Vidigami in the Clairbourn School community.
How to Get Access
Parents, check your email to see if you received, on Wednesday night, your sign-in email from Vidigami with a green button at the bottom to login to your new account. If you need a resend of your Vidigami invitation please email nward@clairbourn.org.
Viewing Photos
You can find a link to Vidigami in the Parent Resource Board of CougarNet. You can also launch the website in a browser and go to https://www.vidigami.com/ and then log in. You can also download the Vidigami mobile app from the Google Play or the Apple Itunes App Store.
About Vidigami
Vidigami is the only private and secure system designed exclusively for school communities to store and share photos and videos. Access is made available to Clairbourn School community members (teachers, parents, staff, and students) via invitation only.
Parents will see photos from their child's grade at the top of their image feed, but you can also upload photos you have taken, videos under 60 seconds, and you can suggest photos for the yearbook by dropping them in the yearbook photo album. You can bulk download photos, "like" photos, report photos that should be removed (using the three dots tool), and much more!
Student Access
Please note: Students also will be able to post images and videos under 60 seconds to this password protected site.
Privacy
Photos will be tagged with parent, teacher, staff, and student names. PLEASE DO NOT TAG STUDENTS THAT REQUIRE PRIVACY. Vidigami closely follows and adjusts to changes in state, federal and international data privacy laws. If you choose to download and use the free Vidigami mobile app, please note that is a VERY limited tool. You can't do much more than upload photos and video or view photos.

Interacting with Vidigami.com through a desktop computer will give you a large amount of features to interact with photos. (You will be able to login to the mobile app with the same username and login you use for the desktop app.)
