Clairbourn Insights

Kindergarten Gingerbread Adventure

Our kindergarteners have been busy learning and absorbing everything around them! Students recently read stories about the Gingerbread Man, and to extend their learning, they worked on gingerbread poems, developing their skills in letters, words, sentences and punctuation. Each child illustrated their poem in a personalized book, which they were excited to bring home and share with their parents.

To conclude this fun project, they participated in a beloved tradition: baking a gingerbread man together in class. Everyone took turns adding ingredients and mixing the dough, learning through taste, touch and smell. However, after baking, the gingerbread man mysteriously disappeared! The kindergarteners eagerly followed the clues he left, traveling around the school in search of him.

This exciting adventure is one of everyone's favorite memories and a cherished Clairbourn tradition. Now, let’s take a look at their journey!
2024 Math Team

Multiply Potential with the Math Team

Join us in welcoming Clairbourn middle school's math team! These enthusiastic students joined in order to challenge themselves further in math, think critically outside of the box with new types of application problems, and represent their school in local and national competitions! They will meet two mornings a week before school and we can't wait to see what they will accomplish this year!
Library Update

A Message from your Librarian, Mrs. Ward:

As part of our annual Clairbourn Book Fair, which is coming up the week of October 7-10, we have arranged for some amazing authors to come and speak with the students. You also have an opportunity to pre-order books by these authors. For books purchased through the Book Fair ONLY, the authors will autograph and personalize the books. There is a strict deadline, however, for these autographed copies. All pre-orders must be returned with payment by Thursday, September 26.

For the 4th-8th grade parents: please note that there are additional books available at this time. For those who have already ordered from the limited selection of titles for our Donuts and Discussion activity (thank you!), those books will be autographed as well.
Please have your student return these to the library sometime between October 1-3. Our librarian Mrs. Ward will collect these for personalization by the author and return them during the Book Fair.

Note: only a very limited selection of these books will be available at the Book Fair, so please place these orders early.
