Field Trip Highlights
Imaginations soared • Discoveries made • Friendship blossomed
Learning leaps off the page into the real world at Clairbourn! Recent field trips brought science, history, and connection to life for both kindergarten and fourth grade students! Kindergarteners explored the Kidspace Museum, where curiosity was sparked through interactive exhibits in science, art, and nature. From climbing through the towering Ant Hole to experimenting in the Galvin Physics Forest, students immersed themselves in hands-on discovery and joyful collaboration.
Meanwhile, our fourth graders stepped back in time with a visit to Mission San Juan Capistrano. They experienced California history firsthand by exploring the historic grounds and even making their own adobe bricks—just like those used to build the original missions. This immersive journey brought their classroom studies vividly to life. From play-based exploration to historic understanding, these field trips reflect our commitment to nurturing the whole child.

Learning Organ Systems Through Dissection
As the seventh grade studies the human organ systems in science class, one of their hands-on experiences is dissecting a chicken wing. The skeletal and muscular systems are similar among all vertebrates, so the students were able to directly observe muscles, tendons, ligaments, and bone marrow. Connecting science class vocabulary terms with real-world explorations helps the students better understand how organ systems work together to help organisms function. |
