Where Wonder Meets Discovery
Saving Sam STEM Challenge is a collaborative activity that introduces the scientific method. Fifth graders must work together to save Sam, a worm whose row boat has capsized. Sam can’t swim without his life preserver. Using only four paper clips, a gummy life saver and a gummy worm, students must create a plan to save Sam. Look at the clever ideas from our Cougars!

Cougar Corner
Grand opening on Friday, September 8
 Parents, do not forget to put money into your children’s Cougar Corner accounts. Every Friday after September 8, plus special sporting event days, children can come after school to purchase a snack and parents get an opportunity to volunteer. Students can pay in cash or charge to their Cougar Corner accounts. Parents love volunteering at Cougar Corner because they get to know other parents and our students! We can't wait to see you!

Clairbourn Families Association (CFA)
First CFA Meeting is on September 12
All parents are invited to the Clairbourn Families Association first parent meeting of the year on September 12 after Morning Assembly in the Multi- Purpose Building. We will feature Dr. Patzlaff's welcome to the new school year plus the Opportunities Fair. Come by and find out how to get involved in your children's school and classroom!

Important Nut Policy Reminder:
In order to make Clairbourn a safe environment for all of our students:
- NO nuts or items containing nuts. - If sending any special treats to school to share with other students, be sure to avoid nuts or nut oil. Please give these items to your child’s teacher for distribution, and ALWAYS check with the teacher first before purchasing. - Have your child wash their hands before school if your child eats peanuts or peanut butter before school. - NO sharing food. |
Library Time for JPK - Grade 1 Parents
Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays
8:25 - 8:45 a.m.
This is a special time set aside for JPK - grade 1 parents to check out books to read with your child at home. You will be assigned your own library number and may check out up to 10 books at a time. |
