From Head of School
Dear Clairbourn Families,
We are now two weeks from the start of school, and the excitement is building. Teachers have been in their classrooms and are putting new school supplies in each desk. It looks like potential in every room! We have been working on the campus and have repaired, renovated and refreshed close to every part of our eight acres. It is almost ready for you!
I am starting to shift from my summer mode of getting ready to my school year mode of here we go! I hope you also had time to get ready for our new adventure, the 2023-2024 school year where the possibilities are endless. Let's start this year with a fresh look at our potential and remember to approach this year with a growth mindset, knowing we are all capable of learning, growing, improving and progressing.

Middle School
Math Placement Test
 NEW Students entering 6th to 8th grade will take their math placement test on Wednesday, August 16, in math room #16 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
The one-hour tests will be proctored by our middle school math teacher, Mrs. Messler. Students should be dropped off at the school entryway at 1:45 p.m. and picked up by 3:15 p.m.
Student Instructions:

Leave calculators at home, but please bring several sharpened pencils.

Water bottle recommended and please, no food.

All your work must be shown as you complete the math problems.

You will be given an hour to complete the test. It is not expected that you finish the entire test. You should focus on the problems you know how to do and skip any that are taking up too much of your time.

These tests are meant to be challenging. You are not expected to get all problems correct. Do not get discouraged and, as always, do your best!!

Clairbourn partners with Parker-Anderson to offer after-school care and preschool to 8th grade enrichment classes. Please check the flyers below:

2. Lango Preschool - Kindergarten After School Language Classes
JPK-K Lango Spanish enrichment classes are offered on Tuesday and Thursday.
3. Clairbourn JPK-K After-School Daycare
Enrollment for the Clairbourn After-School Daycare Program 2023-24 is now open for JPK to K. The enrollment form is available on the Resource Page in CougarNet. For further assistance, please contact Nicole Wang in the Business Office.

Hello Clairbourn!
Hope everyone is enjoying your summer and ready for a great school year!
I am Dana Lee Wong and am truly honored to be serving as the 2023-2024 Clairbourn Families Association (CFA) President. My
family is embarking on their 6th year here at Clairbourn and I am a proud parent of a current 4th grader and a recent graduate.
I’d like to welcome new families and welcome back our current ones to our amazing school. To the new families, I know you will love Clairbourn as much as we all do.
We have such an incredibly dedicated and hardworking community at Clairbourn. The CFA has been planning all summer for upcoming events, such as Special Lunches, Uniform Sales, Annual Family Social, Book Fair, Entrepreneurial Fair, Sugar Plum and Spring Carnival. We cannot wait for everyone to see our community in action. We have volunteer opportunities that fit any schedule. Your participation is encouraged as this is what builds our camaraderie and your kids see you invested. It’s a great way to meet other families and build lasting connections.
Please join us on the quad for coffee on the first day of school and our first CFA parent meeting on September 12 to learn more about our Clairbourn Family.
I’m looking forward to meeting you or reconnecting. It’s going to be an exciting and memorable school year!

Important School Forms
1. Complete Required Forms
Please complete all required forms found in your CougarNet account. If you have any questions about completing forms, or have difficulty logging in, please contact the school. Only required forms will have automatic email notification. There are also optional forms you may want to fill out in CougarNet.
2. Register With Magnus Health
Please enter all requested health information into your Magnus account right away. All families must complete Magnus health forms and submit their child’s immunization records before school begins. Please use this CougarNet link for Magnus Health in the Resource Board section to provide your information. New families must
complete the Magnus Health and
new student forms by 8/1/2023.

We encourage you to plan early!
School uniforms can be purchased by visiting the official supplier for uniforms and ties Lands’ End. Parents will need to set up an account on the Lands’ End website. Clairbourn School Number: 900030693 and Clairbourn Crest (School Logo) Code: 9817227K
Important note: there is no need to order PE uniforms since they will be provided for each student in grades 4-8.
