Clairbourn Connection

Members of our young alumni community joined us for the holidays. Every year, high school and college-aged Clairbourn alumni, and their parents, are invited back to campus for the Young Alumni Holiday Party. It is a wonderful way for alums to reconnect with their alma mater and each other. Despite some rain, alumni participated in a scavenger hunt and roamed through campus catching up with one another. We love seeing and hearing from our alumni! To share an update of your favorite Clairbourn alum, please contact the Development and Alumni Relations Office.

MLK's Birthday

Monday is a holiday honoring American Baptist minister and non-violent civil rights activist Martin Luther King Jr.

Martin Luther King Jr. played a key role in the American civil rights movement from the mid-1950s until 1968. King sought equality and human rights for African Americans through peaceful protest. He was the driving force behind landmark legislation such as the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act. King was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964 and is remembered each year on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a U.S. federal holiday since 1986.

“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” - Martin Luther King Jr.

Let his legacy of leadership and vision for humanity be an inspiration to us all!
