Adventure and Leadership Activities
Dear Clairbourn Families,
This is an exciting week for our middle school students. The 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students all loaded busses for Pali Mountain Institute on Wednesday. They will spend 3 days doing leadership activities, team building projects, science, hiking, and bonding. It is a wonderful way for the group to learn about each other, value unique skills and talents, and appreciate some managed independence away from home.
The teachers are excited to be with the group in a non-academic setting to support them in their interpersonal growth. We will be very excited to hear their stories when they return tomorrow from their adventure! Have fun Cougars!

Clairbourn Insights
Second graders work on numerical fluency by playing games!
Students are building up their understanding of place value by playing games with number grids and exploring "numbers all around!" They continue to use games such as "Number Line Squeeze" and "The Number Grid Game" throughout the year for hands-on practice seeing combinations of numbers, identifying odd vs. even numbers, and finding multiple ways to express a number. Students also learn how to work cooperatively. They had a blast demonstrating their knowledge of numbers and can't wait for the next Math Games Day! |
Student Council
Building an all inclusive community with Clairbourn’s five core values
“Morning Assembly is my favorite time of the day. I enjoy this quiet time with my kids and our school community. I love starting my day with gratitude. It gives me such peace.” shared by a current family. We believe what sets our students apart is the character of our Cougars. Our robust character education program is built on the school’s five core values: honesty, respect, responsibility, spirituality, and citizenship. Thank you to our middle school Student Council for starting the year with reminders of the importance of self-care and the core values of Clairbourn.
