From Head of School

We Are Off to a Great Start!

Dear Clairbourn Families,

I walk around campus and see happy students in every class. They are making new friends, learning new routines, problem solving, and showing kindness and gratitude. It has been a very smooth start to the year! A very big thank you to the CFA who hosted a great community-building breakfast on our first day. Thank you to everyone who came to our exciting ribbon cutting of the Liu-Peng Innovation Lab and took a tour of the new space. I love having the community activities back without restrictions and seeing so many of our families enjoying our on-campus activities.

There are a few adjustments we need to make to ensure things continue to go well.

1. Being on time: Please have your students on campus by 8:00 am so they can get to our morning assembly on time and avoid being tardy.
2. Safety: Please be courteous and follow all traffic rules during drop off and pick up. These are busy times, but safety is most important.
3. Parking space: Please do not park in a spot reserved for our CFA President or our Auction Winner. These are reserved at all times.
4. Patience: If you are dropping your children off at the transportation sidewalk in the morning, please wait for the door to open onto the sidewalk and avoid letting your children out in the bushes.
5. QR code: We are sending home new QR code transportation signs. The list was off and the codes didn't match the names. Please discard the old ones.

If we handle these things, the busy times in our parking lot will go even more smoothly. Let's keep the momentum of excitement and joy going throughout the year!

Middle School Pali Trip

We are excited to have the Pali trip back!

The middle school will be venturing to Pali Institute in Running Springs for a 3-day, 2-night team-building adventure trip. Students will be participating in a variety of classes and activities that foster working together, critical thinking, building skills, and meeting challenges. They will be sleeping in cabins with comfortable bunk beds, eating tasty food in a dining hall, and exploring Pali's beautiful camp up in the mountains full of fresh air and pine trees.

The middle school will depart on Wednesday, Sept. 14 after Morning Assembly and return to Clairbourn on Friday, Sept. 16 around 1 pm. We are so happy we are able to resume this much-loved middle school overnight trip! Check out the MS Pali Trip Packing List.
CFA Updates

Parents, do not forget to put money into your children’s Cougar Corner accounts.

Cougar Corner will open on 9/23 and every Friday after that, plus special sporting event days. Children can come after school to purchase a snack and parents get an opportunity to volunteer. Students can pay in cash or charge to their Cougar Corner accounts. Parents love volunteering at Cougar Corner and get to know other parents and our students! We can't wait to see you!
