Grateful for Our Clairbourn Community
Dear Clairbourn Families,
This week is a week to say thank you again. We had some wonderful events in which we learned, laughed, and delighted.
One of my favorite things at Clairbourn is watching us come together to put on an event and then watch the whole community benefit from the effort, planning, and teamwork. Just like the Sugar Plum, Entrepreneurial Fair, Family BBQ, Holiday Giving, Book Fair,
and so many others, the Lunar New Year Cultural Celebration was one of those events. It was truly a huge effort and a lot of love was poured into it, and it showed.
A huge thank you to the Lunar New Year team for your effort to put this event together for our community. Thank you to Lisa and Liqi for your amazing vision, concept, leadership, and resources to put this all together. The variety, quality, and visuals were all amazing! The students also loved the treats!
Thank you to Lysa for working with the chorus and getting us all to sing together. I loved the little voices all wishing us a happy new year.
Thank you to Jack, Bo, and Shunxiang for the opera performances. Hearing the original song and seeing the family performing together was very beautiful and special for us!
Thank you to Velisa for the guzheng performance. It was fun to learn about the instrument and even more fun when you played it so beautifully.
Thank you to the kung ku performers and the talent of Ms. Li to get our students to learn the skills quickly.
Thank you to Tiffany for coming back to support our school by sharing her talent in singing the opera piece. It was lovely!
Thank you to Jessie and ShanShan for the balloons that made the festive atmosphere just right.
Thank you to Michelle Tom for coaching the violin group for such a sweet performance!
Thank you to the 8th grade emcees who kept the show moving and added interesting facts! Thank you to the student performers who put their time and energy into learning and sharing traditions with our community.
And a very big thank you to all of the volunteers who pitched in to help in so many ways, from decorating, being a stagehand, or even vacuuming the entryway.
I am so grateful to be part of this community!
