Season of Gratitude

Dear Clairbourn Families,

I am overwhelmed by the generosity and support of our community. We all have so much to be grateful for and so much to give. The surge of support for the Annual Fund on Giving Tuesday was amazing! We went from 43% participation to over 75% in just one day. I can't wait to get to our goal of 100% participation. The percentage of participation is important because it signals to the community that our students are having a wonderful experience and our parents see the benefit of a Clairbourn education and actively support it. Thanks for your generosity!

I am also struck by the conversations I have with the students when they donate to the Hillsides children. I see our students look in the box at all of the toys and then I  ask them how it made them feel to give a toy to a child who wouldn't otherwise have one. They understand they are making a positive difference in the lives of others. That is priceless!

This week I have been asking the students what gifts they can give others on a daily basis. These are not physical gifts, but the gifts of kindness, compassion, gratitude, love, friendship, etc. Our amazing students have thought of wonderful ways to share these gifts with their peers. I love it! Way to go Cougars!
