Late Start 9/25 - Morning Daycare Offered

Approximately once a month, Clairbourn has a Late Start Day in order to provide a group meeting time for teachers to have some professional development training. Next Wednesday, September 25, school starts at 10 am. Campus gates will open at 9:30 am for all students. We are offering Late Start Day morning daycare starting at 7:30 am for those who call the school and RSVP ahead of time. If you wish to utilize the daycare, your child must arrive no later than 8:10 am. After 8:10am, the gate will be locked until 9:30 am.

Come To Our First Community Coffee 

All parents are invited to come to the Manor House, Friday September 27 at 8:30 am, for a social gathering with light refreshments. Administrators will be in attendance to chat and answer questions. We hope to see you there! 

Middle School Parents: Your Children Need You Now In Different Ways

As Clairbourn middle school students pack for their three-day trip to the Pali Mountain Institute, parents often experience a range of emotions over their children heading off to a sleepaway camp.  A lot of parents feel sad that their children are growing up and may be needing them less.  Intellectually, they know that school overnight trips are good for their children because they teach them to overcome challenges, learn problem-solving strategies, develop leadership and collaboration skills, and strengthen relationships with other classmates. Consequently, parents find the strength to override the emotional tug to keep their children close to home and instead allow their children to participate in these key activities designed to “Create Scholars and Leaders with Heart.” Read More
 

Parents: Be A Part Of Clairbourn Shirt Day 

Parents, Friday, September 27 is School Shirt Day. If you would like to have a shirt, they are on sale now in the Clairbourn Merchandise Store. They are $20 each for adult sizes. (All students were already issued a free shirt). 

K-5 Boys & Girls - Sign Up for Cub Scouts

Entrepreneurial Fair Event - Sign Up Now
Clairbourn's 6th Annual Entrepreneurial Fair is on Friday, October 18. Students may sell any items they create, make, cook, build, or grow: arts & crafts, inventions, baked goods, plants, etc. (Please, no commercial video game booths unless the games were created by you!) Link to More Info and Sign-Up Sheet

How to Participate in the Fair 
  • Turn in your Sign-Up Sheet. You can also pay bycash or check made out to Clairbourn Family Association. Deliver all check and cash payments to the Entrepreneurial Fair box in the Robert W. Nafie Building (Administration Building) or to the table at transportation (when available).
  • Or, submit forms and any questions to Jason Nava at jason@greenfoods.com

Clairbourn Book Fair - Volunteer Now! 

The grand opening for Clairbourn's Book Fair, "Wild About Books," will be on Friday, October 18. In order to have an amazing Book Fair, we need the help of many volunteers. If you are unable to volunteer your time, we are in need of hospitality donations for our hardworking volunteers. If you have any questions, please contact Book Fair chair, Ting Sung. Your Child's Cougar Corner Account

Parents, please provide funds for your child's Cougar Corner account. Cougar Corner is the snack shop that opens right after school where students can buy drinks or food. Visit the Clairbourn Online Store to fund your child's Cougar Corner account.
 
 
There's Still Time to Order Scrip
CFA is still accepting Scrip orders! Order forms are due Friday, September 27. CFA supports the school by selling scrip cards to be used at many food and retail businesses. Grades 5 & 6 Basketball Team  


Clairbourn students in Grades 5 and 6 are starting a new season of basketball. Last season, the team showed their impressive skills by placing third in the competitive league.
