Mrs. F.M. Wright: Middle School Science Teacher
Mrs. Mary F. M. Wright is our new Middle School Science Teacher. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development, a Master of Arts in Teaching (middle school science endorsement), and a Post Professional Graduate Teaching License for middle school science from Virginia. Read More
Mrs. Messler: Middle School Math Teacher
Mrs. Rebecca Messler is our new Middle School Math teacher instructing grades 6-8. She has 10 years of teaching experience and was a Teach for America corps member from 2010 to 2012. She has a bachelor's degree in Psychology (with a minor in Business) from the University of Southern California, a Master of Education degree from Loyola Marymount University, a Clear Single Subject Mathematics Credential (6-12), and a Clear Multiple Subjects Credential (K-8). Mrs. Gier: Grade 5 Teacher
Mrs.Terri Lynn Gier is Clairbourn’s new Grade 5 Teacher. She comes to us with over 15 years of elementary grade teaching experience (having worked with traditional, gifted, and highly-gifted students) both in public and private school settings. In addition to her clear California teaching credential, she holds a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from National University and a degree in Design and Architecture. Read More
Miss Newell: Assistant Kindergarten Teacher
Miss Aimee Newell is our new Kindergarten Teacher Assistant. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science Resource Management with a minor in Mathematics from CSU Channel Islands, a California Preliminary Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, and she is currently studying for her Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in STEM at Cal State University Los Angeles. Ms. Flores: Assistant Pre-Kindergarten Teacher
Ms. Kimberly Flores is our new Pre-Kindergarten Teacher Assistant. She has been working in the education field for about 10 years and she holds an AA in Liberal Studies from MiraCosta College and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies from Cal Poly Pomona. Her prior experience includes tutoring at Sage Creek High School, working as a K-5 after-school program leader for ASIS, and working as a paraeducator for special needs elementary students in San Gabriel Unified and high school students in Pomona Unified. Maintenance Crew: Mr. Parker Hale
Parker will be working with our maintenance crew tending to anything on campus that needs to be improved or fixed. He is skilled at wood working, welding, and safely working with a plethora of different tools. His hobbies include mountain biking, off-roading, and basketball.
We are very excited to welcome our new faculty members to the Clairbourn family this school year!

School Reminders
JPK - K Orientation and Welcome Reception
The Jr. PreKindergarten (JPK), PreKindergarten (PK), and Kindergarten (K) orientation day offers parents the opportunity to meet their child’s teacher and hear about the curriculum and planned class activities for the school year. All Preschool and Kindergarten students are welcome to come and play on the supervised playground while parents attend the orientation meeting in the classrooms. The Orientation will be followed by a Welcome Reception in the Seiter Center play yard where families will have the opportunity to meet one another and be greeted by members of the Clairbourn Families Association (CFA) who will answer questions about getting involved with the school community.

Daycare Updates
This year, Clairbourn will continue to offer after-school care options to our students who register and pay for the program. For students in JPK-K, please sign up by turning in the updated JPK-K flyer to Clairbourn and paying Clairbourn. For students in grades 1-8, Parker-Anderson will be providing our after-school care on our campus. Parker-Anderson offers a great program for daycare, complete with snacks, activities, and time for homework. To sign up for their program held on our campus, please see grades 1-8 flyer and visit the Parker-Anderson website so you can register directly with them.

It is vital that the school has current health information about each child. All families must complete their Magnus Health Forms immediately. Please check your email for an invitation or reminder from Magnus Health, register online, and provide the information.
Order Lunch with Choicelunch
Choicelunch sources a variety of organic and fresh
ingredients used in kid-approved meals that are delivered the same day to Clairbourn. Order by using a simple online ordering system or the mobile app designed for schools and parents who care deeply about food and nutrition, but don’t have time to make lunches. The new Choicelunch app allows families to order customized lunches for their kids days or weeks in advance. Order online or order on the mobile app
The first day of service is Thursday, August 29. Orders for this day must be completed before 9 am August 28.
Order Your Uniforms Early!

Sign Up For Milk Program
If you would like your child to receive milk with their daily lunch, use this Milk Form to sign up for our milk program. Return this form to the Business Office.

Special Lunch Ordering
Don't delay! Special Lunches need to be ordered right away. The CFA offers Special Lunch every Thursday and on the select Tuesdays each month. Not only will your kids love

Coffee in the Quad Parent Reception:
To welcome back both the new and returning parents, there will be a Coffee in the Quad reception on the first day of school, Thursday, August 29, right after Morning Assembly. Come meet and mingle with other parents!
If Your Uniform Order is Late:
If your uniforms do not arrive in time, we will have a used uniform sale on Wednesday, August 28 (the day before school starts) from 9-11 am, as well as the first day of school, Thursday, August 29.
