A Week Of Enthusiasm Before Spring Break

Dear Clairbourn Families,

This week was a great way to get ready for Spring Break. The middle school students who were part of the CAST performances did a fantastic job. The opening day matinee was met with rave reviews by everyone in attendance. The audience laughed out loud and was thoroughly entertained. Well done, CAST!!!!

It has also been such fun to see the activity in the auction.  The opportunities for classes to get together, parents to enjoy fun activities, and children to learn new skills through donated classes, all while benefiting the school, are great! Thanks CFA for organizing all of these community building experiences and putting them into the auction!

And now, it is time for Spring Break! Just as it is important to work hard, make the most of opportunities, and dedicate ourselves to growth and progress, it is also important to rest, recharge, refresh, and play. I wish each of you a week of activities filled with joy and time to rest.

Happy Spring Break!

After graduating from high school, Dr. Wright went to New York Medical College. She interned at Bellevue Hospital and then focused on becoming a cancer researcher and surgeon. She is known for her contributions to chemotherapy and is credited with recreating human tissue. The U.S National Library of Medicine says these medical breakthroughs put her at the top of her field. They made her a scholar and leader with heart.

Hillary Clinton (1947 to present)
Politician and Lawyer

As a young child, Mrs. Clinton was inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. to work in public service. She earned her law degree from Yale and married another Yale law graduate, Bill Clinton. She served as First Lady of the United States from 1993 to 2001 and as a U.S. Senator from 2001 to 2009. After her terms ended, she was appointed Secretary of State. As First Lady, she helped pass many bills to support children in need and to create a foundation to help families receive health insurance. Mrs. Clinton showed courage by being the first woman to run for President. She is an inspiration for all.
