The Engineering Design Challenge - The Building and Testing Phase

This week first through eighth-grade students have been participating in a week-long Crane Engineering Design Challenge. Engineers from Skanska, a world leading project development and construction group, explained to students how the structure of a crane works and also shared a couple projects they are currently working on. Following the presentation, students went to work on their crane designs and assembly with guidance from our visiting Skanska engineers. Today, students did their last test runs and the top qualifying students from each grade will participate in the final test held tomorrow after Morning Assembly.

Join Us for the Engineering Design Challenge Finals Tomorrow

Tomorrow, students who qualified will put their final crane designs to the test to see how much weight their cranes can hold. We invite you to join us for this exciting event and to celebrate the students' hard work and innovation. The final design test will take place in the MPB directly after Morning Assembly. We hope to see you there!

Two Students' Inspiring Performance With The Piano Guys

On the evening of January 22, 2020, fourth-grader Wesley C. and seventh-grader Marcos I. had the privilege of performing on stage at the Microsoft Theater with the world famous musical group, The Piano Guys. The song they performed was called “Beethoven’s 5 Secrets,” which is a combination of One Republic’s hit song “Secrets” and Beethoven’s 5th Symphony. Performing in such a famous venue in front of thousands of people was a great experience they will never forget! Watch the incredible performance below.
